Clinical Nutrition in Fountain Valley
What is clinical nutrition?
Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. Clinical nutrition is a science and looks at how the body is digesting, absorbing, transporting, metabolizing, storing and eliminating nutrients. Disease is caused by lack of specific nutrients that are affecting the function of the body. Supplementing whole food in concentrated form supplies the missing nutrients needed to restore health.
Why whole food supplements?
Whole food supplements are natural and made from concentrated organically grown food. The food source is either juiced or dried or it is chopped and pressed and put into tablets or capsules. The whole food contains vitamins, enzymes and phytonutrients. Whole foods and whole food supplements are still "alive" and contain the vital energy required for the health restoration process to occur. Most supplements purchased in health food stores and pharmacies are made synthetically. There is nothing natural or whole about them. The synthetic vitamins are made in a lab from a part of a vitamin complex. These synthetic vitamins act more like a drug and actually can cause deficiencies of other nutrients because of the way the body assimilates it.
Chronic illness involves compromised healing mechanisms that must be treated with a concentrated food source. Whole food supplements contain necessary vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and other nutrients needed to nourish your body.
Dr. Stark will evaluate your unique nutritional needs and prescribe whole food supplements and herbs of the highest quality that are only available to health care practitioners.
